teardrops in the ocean, together we are the tide

How come when bands like Creed (or insert other easy target) reunite, hip folks all say, "They're in it for the money." But when bands like Pavement (or insert other hipster darling) reunite, hip folks are falling all over themselves saying how important it is*?

* I like Pavement and I'm glad they are getting back together. I'm just pointing out that one isn't necessarily for different reasons than the other -- they might both be for the music, or both be for the money, or somewhere in between.

I find it funny that consider all anyone wants is to provide for their family/loved ones, that it is a bad thing to be in it for the $$.

I think most of us are in it for the $$. How else can we eat. If you are not in it for the $$, then you are mooching off of those that have $$
